History
Derian SA, this is how this packing company was named in its beginnings in 2000, which based its activities on the theft of raw material and artisanal fishing boat, satisfying the national market in the first instance. It was founded by the brothers Paula and Joffre Copete Granja.
Once positioned in the local market, in 2017 they began their operations as a fishing fleet Deriancomp SA, this time Joffre Copete Granja in association,with more than 30 years linked to the sector. Faced with the need to create a company in the locality, they strengthened the fishing activity in the port of Esmeraldas, in order to achieve their export objectives.
The company has two defined processes, shrimp and fish. It employs around 250 people directly and indirectly, creating jobs for low-income people on the banks of the river, prioritizing women.
With hundreds of tons of products, its main international destinations are the United States, China, Colombia, and the European Union, while its strategic national market is in Guayaquil, Quito, Quevedo, where its distributors are located.
Currently, the company is recognized as JJ Seafoods.
